Stockcharts.com will be hosting 2 training courses in Vancouver on January 17 and 18th for those interested in learning how to use the technical charting website of stockcharts.com. This includes a 3 month subscription to the site with real time data of the Canadian and US markets. These courses are approved for CFA professionals in Canada and are eligible for CE Credits. You will receive 5 credits for each day. The CSTA Launches New Chapters in Vancouver and Victoria
The Canadian Society of Technical Analysts (CSTA) has launched an initiative to start meetings in Vancouver and Victoria. The CSTA is active across Canada and will be hosting meetings regarding Technical Analysis for interested market followers.
The first meeting is always free. Membership to the CSTA includes the extensive library of books and DVD's on following the markets technically. Membership is $125 + Taxes. We invite you to bring a friend and see how the markets are viewed by technicians.
The meetings will be held simultaneously on the 3rd Wednesday of the month @ 7 PM. The meetings will have a guest speaker most months. These meetings will allow investors and market participants to stay tuned to the markets from a technical perspective. Portfolio Managers, Hedge fund managers, CFA's, CSI practitioners and private investors are welcome to attend.
Should there be any changes, please check the CSTA website and register for each meeting you plan to attend.

The January Speaker is Greg Schnell, CMT. The CMT - Chartered Market Technician Designation is through the Market Technicians Association. Greg is a Senior Technical Analyst with StockCharts.com and writer of the Canadian Technician blog. Greg uses Intermarket analysis to follow the markets and will present his current views on the market.

The February Meeting of the CSTA for Vancouver and Victoria
The February meeting will host Donald Dony, MFTA. Don holds the designation of Masters in Financial Technical Analysis from the International Federation of Technical Analysts. Don is the president of D.W. Dony and Associates which operates the Technicalspeculator.com website. He authors an engaging newsletter every month as well as trade of the week ideas. Don lives in Victoria and will provide analysis of the Canadian and US markets.
