The Timken Co. engages in the engineering, manufacturing, and marketing of bearings and industrial motion products, and related services. It also offers drives, belts, chains, lubrication systems, couplings, industrial clutches, and brakes. The company operates through the Engineered Bearings and Industrial Motion segments. The Engineered Bearings segment offers a wide range of product designs serving original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) which include tapered, spherical, and cylindrical roller bearings, plain bearings, metal-polymer bearings and rod end bearings, thrust and specialty ball bearings, and housed or mounted bearings. The Industrial Motion segment refers to a portfolio of engineered products, including industrial drives, automatic lubrication systems, linear motion products and systems, chains, belts, couplings, filtration systems and industrial clutches and brakes. The company was founded by Henry Timken in 1899 and is headquartered in North Canton, OH.
